Dimonoff and Wirepas collaborate to make cities smarter

Wirepas, a decentralized wireless mesh provider, and Dimonoff formed a partnership integrating Wirepas Mesh technology into Dimonoff's Smart City Management System to deliver an end-to-end SCADA solution for IoT applications.

Wirepas, a provider of decentralized wireless mesh technology, and Dimonoff, which develops remote control and monitoring solutions for smart cities, announced a partnership to deliver an integrated SCADA system for Internet of Things applications. The combined offering pairs hardware with scalable software covering outdoor lighting management, metering, sensing, and emergency services.

The collaboration embeds Wirepas Mesh technology within Dimonoff’s Smart City Management System (SCMS), creating an end-to-end platform that lets cities securely collect dynamic information from connected operations and deploy interconnected, mission-critical urban assets. The partners emphasized easy installation, reliability, and scalability, along with the ability to manage multiple city services cost-effectively through a single centralized platform.

“We are happy to welcome Wirepas as a partner and thrilled to integrate their superior technology within the Dimonoff solution portfolio,” said Bernard Têtu, CEO of Dimonoff. Teppo Hemiä, CEO of Wirepas, said that as most cities move toward becoming true smart cities and look to use information cost-effectively and securely, “the need for a reliable, easy to install and secure SCADA platform and wireless communication technology has become evident.”

The partnership targets the broader shift toward IoT-enabled urban infrastructure, giving cities a way to better serve citizens through improved processes and connected technologies.
