TechnicalWill it fit the fixtures we already own, or the ones we build?
The RME controller mounts on a NEMA ANSI C136.41 socket or a Zhaga Book 18 four-pin socket, on any LED luminaire from any manufacturer. Where there is no socket, the RTM module goes inside the fixture. One part number covers 100 to 527 V, with 0-10V and DALI dimming.
FinancialWhat does one platform change on the numbers?
LED conversion with controls cuts lighting energy by 50 to 70 percent. Laval reports 2.75 million Canadian dollars and 15 million kWh saved per year, with a five-year payback. Purchasing can run through Sourcewell cooperative contract 041525-DIMN in Canada and the United States.
OperationalHow do we roll this out without a big bang?
Start with a three-month pilot of 100 to 500 luminaires on production hardware and a live platform instance. From signature to full operation, a 10,000 to 50,000 luminaire deployment takes 6 to 18 months, in phases. Training covers operations, field technicians and IT.
