How do you compare smart street lighting vendors?
Compare vendors on four things: whether the platform manages controllers from other manufacturers, how many part numbers are needed to cover your voltage and dimming mix, the maximum node count the system supports in real time, and whether firmware updates can be delivered over the air.
Those four points determine most of the total cost over a fifteen-year asset life. Everything else, including the user interface, can be changed later. A platform locked to one manufacturer, or one that needs a separate SKU per voltage, imposes costs on every future phase of the project.

Can Dimonoff take over an existing installed base of lighting controllers?
Yes. The Dimonoff platform manages and monitors lighting control nodes from third-party OEMs. In Montréal, controllers from more than one manufacturer are administered from the same interface across a network of over 130,000 endpoints.
Is a different part number required for 120V and 480V installations?
No. One SKU covers any supply voltage from 90 to 525 Vac at 50/60 Hz and supports both 0-10V and DALI dimming. That removes the inventory and installation-error costs of stocking multiple variants.
What happens to the system when the deployment grows?
A single Dimonoff system handles up to 1,000,000 nodes or sensors in real time, so a pilot and a full city-wide rollout run on the same platform. No migration between products is required as the network grows.
