IoT analyst firm Berg Insight released the second edition of its report, “The Global Smart Street Lighting Market,” in November 2023, featuring Dimonoff among the leading players in the sector. The report combines five-year industry forecasts, expert commentary, and real-world case studies drawn from North American cities, examining market drivers, key players, and strategies shaping the space.
A central finding of the report is the significant energy savings municipalities can achieve by adopting intelligent street lighting systems, as cities grow more attentive to energy costs and environmental impact. “Cities and municipalities have become increasingly aware of energy costs and environmental issues related to street lighting which has been a catalyst for growth in the smart street lighting market,” said William Ankreus, IoT analyst at Berg Insight. He noted that while proprietary radio frequency networks have long dominated deployments, the market is now clearly shifting toward greater use of cellular communications across multiple regions.
