Dimonoff announced the consolidation of its operations with Amotus, folding the Amotus trademark under the Dimonoff brand. Amotus, a custom electronics and software engineering company, had been acquired by Dimonoff in 2018 and went on to complete more than 75 service projects in 15 countries, earning a nomination at the 2017 Fidéides Awards along the way.
With the merger, Amotus’s engineering team became part of Dimonoff directly, bringing expertise in electronics and software development, wireless technology, cloud computing, and embedded systems. Bernard Têtu, CEO of Dimonoff, said the integration of “the entire Amotus engineering team” strengthens Dimonoff’s existing team, adding not only speed and synergies to its development projects but also a varied expertise meant to differentiate the company from its competitors.
For Dimonoff, the move consolidated in-house engineering resources that had previously operated under a separate brand, reinforcing the company’s capacity to develop and evolve its own smart lighting and IoT platforms. The combined operations continued from Dimonoff’s Quebec City offices.
